The frog spawn near Redhills.

Go Wild! A spawning ground like no other!

A shuck running alongside a disintegrating lane at Drumbawn, near Redhills, has proven the ideal mating spot for frogs. One stretch measuring well over five metres has seen this mass collection of frogspawn. The spawn jelly sat deep into the water, and who knows how many such spawn populations exist in this natural habitat. Typically a female frog lays between 2,000-3000 such eggs.
Local resident Peter McGinninty admits he's never seen anything like it in his life - neither has the Celt!
