Comedian Kevin lands new RTÉ web show

Cavan-born comedian Kevin McGahern is adding a splash of colour to the RTE player schedule with the launch of a brand new mini-series, Kevin Paints.

Comprising of four 10-minute webisodes, the first became available to watch online last Monday, May 25, with new episodes posted online each night after.

It will have its television debut however on RTE2 this Thursday, start at 9.20pm, when the series will run for four weeks.

The off-kilter chat show, with more than a touch of artistic flair, saw Kevin first off interview while Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson with painting her portrait remotely from her London houseshare.

Follow up interviews include fellow comedians Pat Shortt and Joanne McNally, and well as children's TV art legend Don Conroy.

The show is a follow on from an idea Kevin came up with during lockdown to host painting sessions with the public on social media.

The wise-cracking Gowna-native previously studied animation in college.

#Kevinpaints is available to watch on the @rteplayer now and on @rte2 this Thursday.
