The hey days return as The Stoney Brokes play the Cafe Sessions on Thursday.

Change of line-up for Thursday's Cafe Session

Damian McCarney Stoney Brokes have stepped in as last minute replacements for tomorrow's (Thursday's) Cafe Sessions at Chapter 1. The Amazing Few were due to make their return to the Cavan Town venue this week but illness forced them to withdraw. Undeterred, Cafe Session co-booker Joe Keenan has booked the very able Stoney Brokes to fill the void. For the uninitiated, the five piece arrive in Cavan on a crest of positive press: "Propelled by the jaw-droppingly dynamic vocals of front woman Amy Kelly, the Stoney Brokes are a swinging mesh of all things powerful and melodic. With a sound that fuses classic blues-rock with some radiant radio-friendly vibes, this is a band to get both your larynx and your limbs in motion. "These five like-minded musicians are all about having a good time and boy does it show. Sing-alongs and swinging-hips are the order of the day for their live shows, as evidenced by their sterling headline slot at last year's KnockanStockan festival. ''' Support comes from the wonderfully gifted Fermanagh singer-songwriter Annie June Callaghan. Regular Cafe Session goers will remember her great opening set for the Hot Sprockets last month. Blue Valentines presents The Stoney Brokes and Annie June Callaghan at Café Sessions Chapter 1 on Thursday, February 28, at 8pm.
