Henry girls back by popular demand

Donegal lasses, The Henry Girls return to the Ramor Theatre by popular demand on Saturday night.
Apparently the Virginia crowd can’t get enough of their unique rootsy sound which blends their traditional Irish folk music background with hints of americana, bluegrass and blues. It’s not surprising since the three sisters were brought up by music loving parents who introduced them to an eclectic array of sounds such as The Everly Brothers, The Bothy Band, The Beatles, Johnny Cash and Ella Fitzgerald; and their love of traditional Irish music? Well it was unavoidable.

Catchy
They are renowned for their fine close harmonies and musical arrangements, and have been likened to such great musical acts as Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Dixie Chicks and The Be Good Tanyas. They write songs that are tuneful, catchy, and warm. Their repertoire is scattered with old and new and their style reflects many influences and tastes.
The Henry Girls have rapidly gained a new audience at home and abroad along with the respect of peers such as Altan and Dervish; while their tour schedule has seen them play across Europe and gave them the platform to showcase their irresistible 'Maybe’ album.
Catch The Henry Girls’ triumphant return when they play the Ramor Theatre by popular demand on Saturday, October 18. Booking 049 8547074 or www.ramortheatre.com
