Cahill and Keenan for the Cafe

The art of song-writing is alive and well as shown by this week’s Cafe Sessions, where Cavan’s finest Áine Cahill is joined on the billing by Dundalk’s David Keenan.
Áine Cahill and Spam Turner formed in the summer of 2015 and kicked off their musical career together with a slot at Electric Picnic. Since then, they have been gigging continuously around Ireland. Expect an energetic live show consisting of songs written by the talented Áine Cahill. Prepare to get your heart broken and lifted at the same time.

Aine Cahill plays Chapter 1 tonight

Special guest David Keenan is a 22-year-old songwriter from Dundalk. He first discovered his love for words and melody at a very early age when he was exposed to the great works of Behan and Yeats and Dylan and Cohen. The likes of Damien Dempsey and Jinx Lennon changed his outlook as a teenager, educational music with that sense of identity that he hadn’t heard before. Catch Áine Cahill and David Keenan when they play Café Sessions Chapter 1 on Thursday, May 26, at 8pm.
