Christmas Lights Switch On
Where: Kingscourt
When: Friday, December 2
What: On this Friday the town’s Christmas Lights will be switched on at 7pm by Santa Claus, who is making a special stop in Kingscourt to meet all the children. There will be Christmas market stalls in market square area on the night. The Christmas Lights, which span the town’s wide main street, with a large Christmas Tree at the centre of the town, organised each year by the town’s traders, do much to create a festive atmosphere in the town. With now plenty of parking spaces all over the town’s wide main street, also side streets, all shops are full of suitable presents and gifts for the festive season, no need to travel to other towns when you can get suitable gifts in Kingscourt.

1916 event
Where: 'The Square Bar’, Bailieborough
When: Friday night, December 2
What: The grandson of Éamon de Valera, Éamon ”’Cuív will attend a 1916 centenary event in Bailieborough. Long standing members of Fianna Fáil’s local Cumanna will be presented with Certificates of Service for their years of voluntary work to the party.

Adult Trad Session

Bawnboy Christmas Craft Fair
Where: Keepers Arms, Bawnboy
When: Saturday, December 3, 11am-6pm.
What: Local Crafts from baking, handmade jewellery, clothing, wood working , handmade creams and lotions and all sorts of Christmas gift ideas. Also -Christmas raffle with proceeds going to Templeport Social Services Free Admission. Everyone welcome.

A Night At The Mart

What: A Night At The Mart, a play written by Joe McManus, - last show in Cornmill Theatre on Saturday, December 3 at 8.30pm. The cast, director and backroom staff who tirelessly have been practising since June, wish to thank everyone who supported them. Please support this last night in Carrigallen.

Danger Money

What: Scoil Naomh Bríd are hosting 'Danger Money’ starring Seamus O’Rourke in the heated sports hall in Ballyconnell. Funds raised go towards equipment for new Autism Facility which serves the people of west Cavan and south Leitrim. Admission €12. Refreshments and raffle.

What: Come along to St Mary’s Church of Ireland Mohill on Sunday, December 4, 8pm for a wonderful evening of music & song with Country, Gospel, Blues, Jazz, Folk and Christmas Classics performed by the Sweet Spirit Choir, 'Cat’s Meow’, ' Rodeo Man-Sean Mahon’, May Reynolds Malone, Trumpeter Pat Glynn & Norma, Colm O’Reilly. 'Christmastime’, a song recorded by Tish Dunleavy and pupils from the Hunt School and will also be performed, and the single will go on sale at the Christmas show to support the aftercare of baby Loughlin ”g Burns and his parents Amanda & Loughlin.
