Dr Brian Galligan CCE

Where: Kilnaleck
When: Thursday, March 16, 9pm
What: The monthly teenage traditional Irish session will take place this Thursday, March 16 from 9pm in The Polo Grounds, Kilnaleck. Everyone welcome.

There will also be a fundraising Table Quiz in The Copper Kettle on Saturday 24th March from 9pm. Funds raised toward Kilnaleck County Fleadh 2017. Tables of 4, €40

What: The Juvenile committee of Denn GFC are hosting a fundraising Table Quiz in aid of our Under 14 Feile team on Thursday, March 16 in The Tank, starting at 8.30pm. Tickets €40.

St. Patrick's Trad
Session

Where: Belturbet
When: Friday, March 17
What: Belturbet Comhaltas will hold a Trad Session in Flynn's Bar Belturbet on St. Patrick's night. Children and Youths from 7.30pm and an Adult Session from 9.30pm. All musicians, singers and story tellers welcome. Join us for a good night out.

SOCIAL DANCE

What: Dancing to the popular sound of John & Sean better known as J & S Sound . Dancing from 10pm-12.30am. Supper served.

Walk and Talk for Syria

Where: Glenfarne
When: Saturday, March 18
What: Meet on Saturday, March 18 at 11am at The Rainbow. Short Walk in Glenfarne Forest. Talk by Rola and Irish Syrian. Refreshments in The Rainbow and music by local Comhaltas members. All donations on the day to MSF Emergency Appeal for Syria. This event is organised by Glenfarne Community Development Group.

Celebration for the Homeless

Where: Abbeylara
When: Saturday, March 18
What: Fr. Peter McVerry will celebrate Mass on Saturday, March 18 in St. Bernard’s Church Abbeylara at 7.30pm followed by refreshments afterwards in the Parish Centre. Fr Peter will be presented with the proceeds from the New Year’s Eve Celebration for the Homeless. Everybody welcome.

Fun Run/Walk

Where: Castle Saunderson
When: Sunday, March 19 from noon
What: St Patrick's Weekend Fun/Run/Walk at Castlesaunderson Scout Centre on Sunday, March 19 from noon. Assemble at the centre from 11.45am before start. Event will be followed by breakfast rolls (€2) and tea, as well as music from local musicians.

Sponsorship cards available from any committee member, all children must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs must be kept on a lead. Spot prizes on the day for all participants.

Fishing competition

Where: Derries Lake
When: Sunday, March 19
What: Loch Gowna/Upper Erne Anglers Association will host the John Frank Smyth Memorial Fishing Cpetition (Boat). Fishing from 11am-4pm.

Mayo v Cavan

What: Cavan are running out of matches if they are to secure their Division 1 status. Having lost to Tyrone last weekend with a disappointing second half display, they will hope to get something from this trip west to Mayo.
