Blues Night for Autism

What: Blues night in aid of Autism Awareness. Proceeds to CAPS. Music by blues band ‘Melting Pot’. Come, enjoy the Craic, dance the Blues away and wear something Blue. There will be a raffle on the night. All donations gratefully received.

GAA Horse Race Night

What: Ballinagh GAA will run their annual horse race night on Saturday, April 29 in Barney Macs from 9pm. Come along and join in on the craic that night in Barneys, where there will be betting, drink, food, craic and a raffle draw.

Knockbride Macra
Where: Tunnyduff Hall

What: Knockbride Macra will host a childrens Cinema day in Tunnyduff Hall, where we will be showing two family movies suitable for all ages. Doors will open for the first movie at 1pm and the movie will start at 1.30pm. Doors will open for the second movie at 4pm and the Movie will start at 4.30pm. Popcorn and drinks will be included for €5 per child.

Step it out for Cancer 5k Run/Walk
Where: Ballymachugh
When: April 29
What: 5k Run/Walk on April 29 from Buddy Kiernan’s Pub. This is in conjunction with the Moylagh JFK 50 Mile Walk all proceeds raised will go to the Irish Cancer Society and LARCC. Registration at 5.30pm and race starting at 7pm. Prizes for the first 6 home in both genders. BBQ and live music on return along with raffle and lots more.

What: North Longford Angling Club are holding a three day Boat Pike Fishing Festival on Dernaferst Lake, Loch Gowna on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30 will be an open competition. Memorial Walk

What: The 6th annual 4 mile fun run walk in memory of Kathleen Dolan. It will start at Dowra Resource Centre and will be followed by refreshments, cake sale and face painting. All proceeds to Irish Cancer Society and The Oncology Unit Beaumont Hospital.
