Exhibition

What: Ballyjamesduff presents the exhibition ‘Human Nature’ featuring two Ballyconnell artists Seanie Cassidy and Freda Young. Opening Friday, May 26, at 7.30pm and continuing over the summer months.

Charity Soccer Match

What: Killymooney v Cavan Town on Friday, May 26, with kick-off at 7pm, venue Cavan Astro, Ard Na Greine, Cavan. All proceeds in support of the family of Doireann O’Brien.

Summer recital
Where: Bailieboro

What: The Bailieborough School of Music senior and junior bands will perform an open-air summer recital on the Market Square this Friday evening, May 26, 7pm, weather permitting. If weather does not allow for outdoors, the performance will be in the Community School. Everyone welcome.

Go fishing
Where: Bunnoe

What: Annual May Fly competition is taking place on this Saturday, May 27, from 12 noon to 5pm. Check in at Bunnoe Community Centre from 11.45am. Entry fee is €10.

Charity Walk
Where: Bailieboro
When: May 27, 11am
What: A charity walk in memory of Ann Clerkin, Curkish, Bailieboro. The walk starts at 11am from BDA offices, Shercock Road. Funds raised will be donated to Bailieboro Cancer Comfort Fund, Mental Health Association and Multisensory Room for the AFD class in Bailieboro Community School. Voluntary donations on the day.

Drama
Where: Drumavaddy

What: Kilnaleck Youth Drama Society Present ‘Gogglebox’ throughout the ages and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ in Drumavaddy Hall at 6pm on Saturday, May 27, and at 3pm on Sunday, May 28. Tickets €5 at the door. All welcome.

Defibrillator for Crosserlough
Where: Crosserlough
When: May 28, 12 noon
What: A sponsored 5km walk will take place on Sunday, May 28, to assist with the purchase of a Defibrillator. Regristration at the Old School at 12 noon. All participation and any sponsorship offered will be greatly appreciated.

Old Time Dance

What: Ceilí in Kinawley Community Centre on Sunday, May 28, dancing to Country Traditions from 9-11.30pm. All welcome. Supper served.
 
Kildallan GAA Feile Table Quiz
Where: Ballyconnell
When: May 28, 6:30pm
What: Fundraising table quiz in Lee’s Bar  starting at 6.30pm. Table of four, €40. Lots of prizes and raffle on the night. Everyone welcome. Féile is a wonderful experience for our children. This year Kildallan is one of the host teams and our U14 boys will be playing football against teams from all across Ireland, Britain and America on the weekend of June 23-25. Please support.

‘Operation Wallacea’
Where: Kingscourt
When: May 28, from 10:30am
What: A coffee morning in the Parish Centre, Kingscourt after 10.30am and 12 noon masses beside the Church of the Immaculate Conception Kingscourt. This is a fundraiser for local girl Katie Irwin-Crosby, a student of Science at Trinity College Dublin. She has been offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in Operation Wallacea.

Vintage Tractor Run
Where: Bailieboro
When: May 28, 12 noon
What: There will be a Vintage Tractor Run in Memory of Joe Connolly on Sunday, May 28, leaving at 12 noon from Fox’s Pub, Main Street, Bailieborough, to return at 4pm approx. All models of vintage tractors and cars welcome. All proceeds will go to Bailieborough Cancer Care and Cavan Palliative Care. Fun Day
Where: Cootehill
When: May 28
What: St Michael’s NS Are launching a major ‘Building for the Future’ campaign. A fun run/walk will take place on Sunday, May 28. Starts at St Michael’s and continues in a loop through Bellamont Forest and back to the school again.
It is to be a fun day, with face painting, a magician, cartoon characters, balloons, music, dancing and much, much more. Refreshments will be served in St Michael’s NS after the event.
