Killeshandra Community Hall is setting the scene as the perfect venue for fun filled social dancing these days, attracting dancers from all around the region for what has become a highlight social dancing event. This popular venue is setting the bar for social dancing.

The next dance is this Friday February 9 when dancers will be entertained by the popular Dermot McConnell who played this venue last autumn to great applause.

The dance this Friday is an important night. It is a milestone event for the organising committee as it is a first anniversary social dancing event.

In recognition of the fantastic loyal support from the dancers the organising committee have arranged for a few special spot prizes for the regular free draw on the door ticket.

Eamon Sexton said that the popularity of the dance is growing: “The committee have worked hard to meet the high expectation of dancers by creating a welcoming environment and the refreshments are very much a part of the package that would have Dr Ciara and colleagues on Operation Transformation speechless.”

He said the committee are indebted to the local ladies group for this important contribution and who get an acknowledgement applause from the dancers at each event.

Killeshandra Community Hall has always had a reputation for a quality dance floor and in recent years the committee have invested heavily in providing a sound system to professional standards which adds to the dancer comfort and expectation and of course is of great assistance to the bands playing and the audience enjoying their music. Performers such as Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Mike Denver and Cliona Hagan have played this venue and were full-some in their positive comments.

This venue also has weekly bingo, plays and concerts and the sound system is an important ingredient in the public attending having an enjoyable evening.
