‘Cavan time’ put on hold for Fergal’s Late Late bow

Tonight’s appearance of 11-year-old starlet Fergal Smith has had repercussions in circles wider than just TV.
The unthinkable notion of a GAA AGM starting and finishing on time will occur tonight, as the delegates plan to get in and out on time to catch a glimpse of the Knockbride lad’s stint at co-hosting one of the traditional giants of the TV calendar.
Knockbride GFC moved their scheduled 8.30pm meeting back to 7.45pm so as not to clash with the canny kid, who will appear on the show tonight after a cheeky email to Ryan Tubridy, asking for a spot on the show to alleviate a condition he termed ‘middle-child syndrome’.
