Ecoseal regional sales manager Gene O'Reilly is creating ten new jobs for this area.

Mullahoran businessman is creating new jobs

"There's definitely more positivity out there than there was a year ago, and that's encouraging us to expand into this region," a Mullahoran businessman told The Anglo-Celt last week. Gene O'Reilly, regional sales manager of Ecoseal, believes the time is right to recruit for the Galway-based home insulation company and the 10 new positions are a welcome boost to the region, which has suffered greatly in the economic downturn. The new jobs are for the Cavan, Monaghan, Longford and Meath region in the next 12 months in the area of Ecoseal's cavity wall and attic insulation products. "We're thrilled to be able to announce these new jobs for the north east," said Gene. "Ever since the recession hit, people have become even more conscious of reducing their energy bills, be it gas, oil or electricity. And with Ecoseal's Ecobead platinum product, savings of up to 50% are a real possibility on a customer's energy bill. "We feel it is vital that we recruit within the community of the areas we serve. Too many people have been left on the dole queue and we hope that these young, enthusiastic people will be given that opportunity with Ecoseal." But the good news does not end there for the region as there will be a permanent base in Cavan - at Grousehall Business Park, Kiladoon, Loughduff - and a three-year plan for Ecoseal is to expand its business into the midlands, south west, Dublin and Cork, and to eventually become a nationwide business. "We are a progressive thinking company," said Gene, "and if the response we've received in the west is anything to go by, we will be just as successful when we branch out nationwide. When that does happen, we hope to create even more jobs in the next three years." Gene says that a typical semi-detached house will cost on average €1200 to complete. Under the Home Energy Scheme a grant of €650 is available to all home owners regardless, leaving a balance of €550 to be paid by the customer. In many instances this outlay can be recouped within one year. Each customer is provided with a 10-year guarantee for cavity wall and attic insulation products.
