John Tully and that 1961 election

Arising from the publication of a photograph of a number of delegates from different areas of Cavan who attended the 1961 convention of Cavan Clann na Poblachta in the Courthouse, Cavan, we dealt briefly on the life and times of John Tully, the Clann TD for Cavan since 1948. Towards the end of the article we promised that we would return to the subject of Tully which, of course would have to include some aspects of the '61 election which was held a few weeks after the photo was taken.
