Meet the oldest apprentice in town!

As I drove into town on Thursday afternoon with the sun shining on the shimmering shores of Lough Sillan, I had a feeling that my rambles through Shercock with photographer, Alex Coleman would unearth some interesting material for this feature.

Good news is not easy to come by nowadays but we were glad that we popped into Donal Clerkin's butcher shop. His broad smile and warm greeting said it all - little Adam who celebrated his fourth birthday on May 26, is hail and hearty. He's running around like any four-year-old and is off to play school after Christmas. Adam bravely fought off a rare cancerous tumour on his jaw.
