Belturbet Golf Club
Winner of week one of the Autumn League Sean Henry, runner up Frank Rudden. Week two, Noel Traynor, runner up Gerry Douglas. The Autumn League continues each week Sunday to Saturday, one repeat, €5 play, €5 repeat, non team members.
The club A.G.M. will be staged on Sunday, November 23, at 2.30 sharp. All motions for the above meeting should be submitted in writing, signed by the proposer and seconder, to the club secretary no later than Friday, November 14.
An E.G.M. will take place in the clubhouse on Thursday night, November 13, at 8.30pm to discuss the club constitution. All new members for 2009 will be most welcome. Application forms are on the noticeboards in the locker rooms. All forms must be completed by the proposer and seconder.
The Autumn League continues each week Sunday to Saturday one repeat and Sunday morning soup. Full results are printed on the noticeboard. Well done to Sean and Willie who are doing a great job. All members check noticeboard for handicap. Green fees €20 all day. All welcome.
Crover House Hotel
The Winter League has started last weekend. The weather conditions were not good. There was a small turnout. Please support your teams. Three scores to count on each team. All the team are on the noticeboard.
The next meeting is on November 3. this will be a parent meeting.
Well done to Chassie Byrd and his team on reaching the semi-final of the Alliance Cup. They lost out narrowly to Mannan Castle. Good luck to Mannan in the final.

Juveniles Professional Tuition
The juveniles who have paid for professional tuition please note that coaching will recommence on Saturday 8th November at 9.00 am sharp and will continue for 3 weeks.
Alpha-bet
The letters drawn in last week"s Alpha-bet draw were PEVZ and there were no winners of the 6,000.00 jackpot. The draw will now roll over to 6,100. The 5 lucky dippers each winning 20 were Tony McGorman Aghabog, Margaret McDonnell Lisnaskea, F. McAdam C/O Frank"s Bar, The Walsh Family Clones and Mary McPhillips Scotshouse. Congratulations to them! Pick up an envelope to enter the draw wherever you see the Alpha bet posters and ask yourself, do your letters look lucky?
AGM"s
The ladies Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 23rd November at 3pm and the men"s AGM will take place the following Sunday 30th November at 6pm. The joint club meeting will be on Sunday 7th December.
Ladies League Continues
The ladies club winter league continues for the Christmas hampers and it"s good to see the team captains encouraging their teams to play. This competition will run for 10 weeks and we are now into week 4 and remember ladies if you are on a winning team but haven"t played at least 4 times you will not be eligible for a prize. Results for week 3 & 4 will be in next week"s report.
Captains" Dinner Dance
Ladies & Gentlemen you are invited to join Captain Mr. Paul Fitzpatrick and Lady Captain Mrs. Noreen McKenna at the Creighton Hotel on Saturday 8th November for the annual Captain"s Dinner Dance. Tickets are now on sale at the bar €40.00 each.
Mannan Castle
Success Follows Success as Mannan Win The Treacy Cup!!
Mannan Castle came out on top against Rossmore on Sunday, to claim victory in the final of the Treacy Cup by 4 matches to 1.
Congratulations to the successful team led by their Team Captain Tony Donagher; Shane Corr, Rory Fitzhenry, Mark Lambe and Thomas Pepper.
Well done also to our Alliance Shield Team who played Nuremore in the first leg of the Final and take a commanding 17pts to 3 lead into the second leg. Keep the momentum going Brendan!!
Virginia Golf Club
Sunday October 26, monthly medal competition winner was Gerry McKenna, nett.57,cat.1, Stephen Moore nett.59.cat 2. Gene Tully nett 61cat 3, Paddy McCabe nett 60. Two"s competition, Pat Kelly, Terry Smith. Next Sunday is the start of turkey competitions, 18 hole singles stableford, draw times as normal.
