The Road to Breffni is an interesting one

Want to get your picture taken with the Ulster minor or U21 or ladies cups? Now's your chance. The Road To Breffni 2012 annual - Cavan GAA's only official yearbook - will be launched this Saturday at 3pm in Easons, Main St, Cavan where a host of county footballers will be on hand to lend their support and meet the fans.

The 300-page Road To Breffni retails at just €4.95 and is packed full of top-class features, interviews, results and more. Close to 150 people were interviewed for the book with top sports journalists and photographers from this region all contributing to the publication.

"The book was written, printed and published in Cavan, for Cavan people, and the proceeds will go to our county GAA board," said chairman Tom Reilly, who urged all Breffni fans to support the board by buying the book.

The 2011 'The Road to Breffni' resulted in a contribution to Cavan GAA of €20,000 from The Anglo-Celt.

Last chance to vote

Meanwhile, check out cavangaa.ie for details on how to vote for the players of the year in the Football Awards, sponsored by The Anglo-Celt and King Communications, which take place on November 25 in the Hotel Kilmore.

Finally, Gearoid McKiernan will be crowned 2011 Player of the Year by the Supporter's Club at a function in the Terenure Inn this Friday night, starting at 9pm.

All welcome.
