Frank McManus is one of the true unsung hero's of our time. He has dedicated over 20 years of his life working to help the ordinary man on the street, seeking no recognition. His reward: knowing that he has made a difference to someone's life, made their life a little easier, given them a helping hand.

He has helped the less fortunate, the elderly, those with special needs, the sick and the needy. His work within St. Vincent de Paul has meant so much to so many.

If there were more Frank McManus' in this world, the world would be a better place.

I'm delighted that Frank is in the running for this award and I hope he has a great night at the Gala Banquet.

Anyone who works for St Vincent De Paul needs a award , Frank McManus has to be first choice, so much has been said about Martin Donahue. CCE is not a one man band, Martin may be on the front page more often than not, the All Ireland Fleadhcheoil is coming to Cavan because of the fine work put in by hundreds of Musicians and their supporters who work hard in the background, making decisions for and on behalf of all CCE MEMBERS, I wish every one the best of luck,,,, I quote Adrian Clark " If there were more Frank McManus: in this world . the world would be a better place, Cavan is a better place because of Frank,,,,,,,
