More than 5,200 votes have been cast and the ten award winners in The Anglo-Celt/Rehab Cavan Person of the Year 2009 have been revealed.

However, the title of Cavan Person of the Year won't be announced until the gala banquet and awards night, which will take place in the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan next Thursday, March 25.Northern Sound's Joe Finnegan will perform the honours as MC; while Cavan businessman and Dragon Sean Gallagher will accept a special achievement award on the night. He will also be one of the keynote speakers on the night, which is a major fundraiser for the Rehab group in Cavan.

Tickets are available from the award winners, The Anglo-Celt offices and the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan. Your support would be greatly appreciated and a great night's entertainment is promised. The ten deserving award winners, all of whom will receive Cavan Crystal on the night, and the respective community groups and charities they work tirelessly for, are all profiled in this week's Anglo-Celt.
