Robert Sharpe makes his way through the flood on the Cootehill to Bailieborough Road, which was flooded up to a depth of a metre yesterday.
Cavan is being put on flood alert as officials expect the Erne system, which runs right through the county, to reach a high water mark within days.
The warning follows significant flooding in the east of the county yesterday with the main Bailieboro/Cootehill road made impassable at Sharpe's Corner. Other minor roads were also affected with diversions in place.
