Cavan mothers outraged at child benefit cut proposal

Reports that Child Benefit is to be reduced by €10 per child per month in the forthcoming budget has sent shockwaves through families across the country.
To hear at first hand how this blunt across the board cut will effect families on the ground,
Sean McMahon talked to a number of mothers in Cavan town.
There was unanimous outrage from the mothers we spoke to at the fact that a cut in child benefit is even being considered at a time when families are already struggling to balance the budget.
Fiona Corby from Park View in Cavan said that she has three children and the cut last year reduced her income by €100 per month in child allowance, this cut would take away €30 more.
