A mother from Lisduff has described road conditions at Whitegate cross on the Cavan/Meath border for students getting on and off school buses as "absolutely so dangerous" on a busy main artery where there is in adequate parking and no proper lighting.

The Anglo-Celt visited the scene early last Monday morning and again as the light was fading quickly. Geraldine Glackin who was dropping her children off at 8.15am said that there is no place for cars to park while waiting for the bus and as a consequence they park on the hard shoulder.
