Chamber engage planner to fight Tesco

The planning consultant engaged by Cavan Chamber of Commerce is confident that An Bord Pleanála will give a fair hearing to the objections of the Chamber to the planning permission just granted by Cavan Town Council to Tesco Ireland for their controversial new shopping development at Tullymongan.
Stephen Ward, who has already successfully represented business groups who objected to proposed Tesco developments in towns such as Kingscourt and Ardee, told The Anglo-Celt the planning appeals board will take an objective view of the concerns of the town's traders.
