SIPTU is calling on the management at Lagan Brick in Kingscourt to commit to Labour Relations Commission (LRC) conciliation aimed at reaching satisfactory redundancy and severance terms for 29 workers who lost their jobs the week before Christmas with the shock announcement of the closure of the plant.
The call came as SIPTU president Jack O'Connor visited the workers on the vigil outside the former Kingscourt Brick factory last Friday morning.
