Milltown village safer after bridge transformation

The children attending Milltown Primary School can now walk in complete safety from their school to the after school services in the community complex, thanks to an enhancement project which includes a pathway adjacent to the bridge. The works have increased safety at the crossroads, and also for pedestrians walking through the village. The move was instigated after Joe Brady mooted the suggestion at one of the parents' association meetings. Former chairperson of the parents' association, Breda McIntyre wrote a letter to the County Council, and a momentum began to build for a project that would transform various safety aspects in the village.
