Swanlinbar scouts in Icelandic expedition

When it comes to reaching the pinnacle in scouting, the lads in Swanlinbar are way out in front. Together with a number of other scouts from different parts of Ireland, five of them are off to Iceland to compete in the Crean Challenge in arctic conditions with temperatures of up to minus ten degrees expected. The West Cavan town has the highest percentage representation on the Irish Scouting Expedition team. Only 15 scouts were chosen from all of Ireland. When The Anglo-Celt caught up with all five scouts last Thursday evening, they were looking forward to the challenge immensely.
