A benefit night for a young Enniskillen man who was left paralysed as a result of a car accident in September, 2010 will take place on Thursday, January 26, at the Harbour in Belturbet.
Twenty six year old Brian Brough is paralysed from the neck down and is a son of Frank and Margaret Brough.
Maureen Fitzpatrick and all at the Harbour Bar have organised an all star line up to make the night a big success and it commences at 9pm.
Entertainers include Ally Harron and Marian, Evening Star, Sean Corrigan, the Kevin Logue Band, Cathal Brough, Aidan Cunningham and Brendan Ruddy, the Travelling man and Family Affair. The compere on the night is Tommy Tighe.
Brian's father Frank told The Anglo-Celt that Brian spent six months in the Royal Victoria Hospital and a further four months in Musgrave Rehab. Brian will be in a wheelchair for the remainder of his life. Frank revealed that Brian can operate his powered wheelchair with great dexterity. "He can fly on it", he said.
The good folk at the Harbour invite you all along on the night from far and wide to ensure that this benefit night is a real success for the future benefit of this young man.
He had just moved into his bungalow and his father Frank says the funds raised on the night will help cover the cost of decorating and other essentials.
Supper will be served on the night and the admission is voluntary.
