New crematorium for Cavan town

A new crematorium is to be opened in Cavan by the end of this year. It will be located at Finnegan's Funeral Home, adjacent to the Dublin Road on the outskirts of Cavan town. Full planning permission has been received and works are due to commence in the near future. 'Lakelands Crematorium' will be the first crematorium to be sited in a regional town in Ireland, as the existing crematoria are located in Dublin, Cork and Belfast.
