Over €11m in roads funding for county

Eleven per cent cut on last year's allocation

Cavan County Council has been given a roads allocation of €11,162,955 to carry out its roads programme in 2012. The amount allocated by the Department of Transport represents a hefty reduction, equating to approximately eleven per cent on last year. This was some €700,000 less that the local authority had budgeted for in its recent Budget meeting.
