Cavan office will be retained - agency

The Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has moved to defend its record of job creation in Cavan despite figures suggesting the county has faired among the worst in Ireland, writes Damian McCarney.

The news comes as a local councillor has claimed that the lease on the IDA office at the Cavan Business and Technology Park on the Dublin Road in Cavan, would expire by the end of this month, and after the retirement of 'area director' two years ago, no-one has been focusing specifically on attracting investment into the county.
