The lack of GP services in Mullagh was highlighted at a public meeting in the local community hall last Friday night. The meeting, chaired by local Fianna Fáil councillor Shane P O'Reilly, heard from Government Deputy Joe O'Reilly that the HSE is to deal with the matter "immediately".

An action group tasked with driving an initiative to get a GP service restored to the town of Mullagh was selected at the end of the meeting.
