Fatal stabbing in Cavan town

Gardai in Cavan are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in an apartment at Connolly Court, Connolly Street, Cavan at approximately 11pm on Saturday 13th October in which a male in his 40s was fatally injured.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified. The Garda Technical Bureau will examine the scene.

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in or around Connolly Court apartments last night between 10pm and 12 midnight or who may be able to assist with the investigation to contact Cavan Garda Station on 049-4368800, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
