Almost 50 new jobs at Carton Bros

Carton Bros Ltd has announced that 48 new jobs are to be created at the Shercock Plant in the new year. Vincent Carton, CEO Carton Bros Ltd, made the announcement at the 'Taste of Cavan' Food Fair in Hotel Kilmore today. Carton Bros Ltd ( who also trade under the name 'Manor Farm') are one of the biggest Poultry Processing Plants in Ireland, employing 650 workers at its plant in Shercock. They also have 150 contracted Irish farmers supplying feed and poultry to them on an annual basis. Welcoming the announcement, Fine Gael TD for Cavan and Monaghan, Deputy Joe O'Reilly said: "This is excellent news for Carton Bros Ltd and for the people of Cavan. Carton Bros Ltd are one of the largest poultry processing plants in the Country, with an excellent reputation and this is a very welcome and progressive development. "This will prove to be a major boost for the Shercock area in terms of job creation."
