UPDATE: Gardaí seeking help to locate two Dublin men believed to be in Cavan

Fearing for the safety of two missing Dublin men, gardaí are following a number of leads of enquiry as they conduct searches in a number of locations across in the county, further requesting the help of local farmers as part of the major search operation.

Eoin O'Connor (32) and Anthony Keegan (33), both from North Dublin, were reported missing, having been last seen on Tuesday night, April 22.

The authorities have reason to believe the two men travelled to the Cavan area and are now focusing their search efforts in the east Cavan area. They were subsequently reported missing by their families at Santry and Fitzgibbon Street garda stations.

Eoin O'Connor was last seen on the evening of April 22 at Kilbarron Avenue, Coolock. He is described as being 6’’ tall, stocky build with short brown hair and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a grey track suit bottoms and a blue windbreaker type jacket with a hood.

Anthony Keegan is described as being 5’ 10’’ tall, medium build with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Both men, who are known to the gardaí, are believed to have travelled together to the Cavan area in a silver Ford Focus car registration 04 D 46380 on the evening of April 22.

That vehilce has since, according to recent reports, been discovered in the Mullingar area, with gardai there preserving the scene for technical examination.
