Rainbows programme back next week

It is the time of year when the Rainbows Programme is being planned. It will start on the 16th September @ 7.00pm and will run each Tuesday per week up to December.

What is Rainbows? Rainbows is a support programme to help children and adolescents cope with grief or significant loss (death, separation, divorce) in their family. Adults sometime make the mistake of thinking that children do not feel loss, or are more resilient than they are. Children try to hide their feelings in a variety of ways. Unresolved grief can have severe effects on a child – if not in the short term, then as an adult.

Through the Rainbows Programme young people are helped through their grief by caring adults who have been specifically trained for this.

If your family has suffered a significant loss your children/adolescents may need the support of peers with the same experience, and of a trained facilitator in the rainbows programme. You can contact Emma 087 9407528 or email rainbowscavan@gmail.com for further details.
