Voice uk to host cavan audition

Hugely popular TV show, BBC's the Voice UK is set to arrive in the county later this week as it hunts the region for the next big singing star, The Anglo-Celt can reveal.

Voice UK are on the hunt for people with a genuinely fantastic voice to take part in its latest series, and attending the Cavan Crystal Hotel this coming Thursday, April 30, and overseeing the session, which starts at 4pm, will be show producer, Warren Atkins.

Looking for talent 16 years of age or older on June 17, 2015 and with the right to live and work in the UK for over 20 hours per week.

The local audition will see local singer try-out in a 90 second slot- using backing tracks, accapella or musical accompaniment in the hope of making it through to the next stage, possibly with a chance to perform before the programme's four superstar judges, Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Rita Ora and Ricky Wilson.

“We are looking for either soloists or duos who believe that they have what it takes to become the next big thing,” Mr Watkins told The Anglo-Celt

Organised by Pauline McDermott-Smith of Cavan-based Impact Promotions, she says it is a “wonderful opportunity for the midlands talent to have this opportunity”.
