N3 closed at lavey lake due to single vehicle accident
The N3 road in close proximity to the Lavey Lake area is currently closed to traffic as a result of s single vehicle collision, which took place shortly after 3pm today (Friday).
The two occupants of the car, the driver and the passenger, were both removed to Cavan General Hospital to be treated for their injuries. The nature of those injuries have yet to be established.
Two ambulances and the Fire Brigade attended the scene.
The road remains closed to allow the Garda Accident Investigation team to examine the scene in detail.
Motorists are asked to avoid this accident location until the road has been re-opened.
