Cavan couple collect €164,650 Lotto win!

It was a dream start to the weekend for one lucky Cavan couple when they dropped into National Lottery HQ today to pick up a cheque for almost €165,000.

The pair, who wish to remain anonymous, matched five numbers plus the bonus in the Lotto draw on Saturday, January 9. They purchased the luck €12.50 ticket in the Centra Store on Erne Hill, Belturbet, on the day of the draw.

"We realised we’d won on Sunday (10 January 2016), the day after the draw, but decided to wait for a while to make some plans before we collected our prize. It’s great news! We’re very delighted. We’d love to buy a new car, and take a dream holiday, probably in the US, at some stage this year. The rest will be savings for a rainy day," said the delighted pair.
