Orchid Collective for Cafe Sessions on Thursday!

The one and only Orchid Collective are the head act in the one and only Cafe Session this month.
Orchid Collective has a loyal fanbase from a solid year of touring Ireland, with festival appearances at Spirit of Folk, Glasgowbury and Knockanstockan. With their second single and video Lay as Stone released in March, and having started the year as Whelans “one to watch”, 2016 looks to be a promising year for the band.

They were described by the State.ie as “a gem of new Irish music” and their new single has been described by Dan Hegarty of 2FM fame as “a beauty... gorgeous, gorgeous track…”
His 2FM colleague, legendary DJ Dave Fanning, RTE 2FM says they “Sounds like a band at the start of something”, and they hope to build on this momentum with their Irish tour, which takes in Cavan Town’s Chapter 1 this Thursday evening.
This week’s special guest Aoibhin Redmond, is billed as “sweet, sad, catchy and a bit left of centre”.
Sadly we’ll have to enfure a month’s wait for the next Café Session when the exceptional Inni-K returns on Thursday, September 1.
All the more reason to catch Orchid Collective on Thursday, August 4, 8pm.
