Cavan businesses set for the awards bash of the year

Who will win the over Business of the Year, is the question on everyone's lips heading to tonight's (Friday) fourth annual Cavan Business and Tourism Awards.

Breffni Mushrooms won the Best in Marketing award last year, before scooping the overall top award. 

The Slieve Russell Hotel once more host the gala awards bash  and it paints a bright picture for the economic prospects of the county. A total of 38 entrants will compete in a variety of categories for the coveted awards.
Yvonne Jackson, advertising sales manager with The Anglo-Celt said that the vibrancy of this year’s competition is a testament to the resilience of Cavan business.

“The cream will always rise to the top. The last eight years have been extremely tough and local businesses have come out the other side stronger and more determined.”
This week’s issue includes a 40-page magazine supplement, profiling all those shortlisted; while Ray Cole has been named the International Cavan Business Personality of the Year.
