Witnesses sought after pedestrian seriously injured by car

Gardaí in Navan are appealing for witnesses following a collision in County Meath.
At approximately 4.35am a 33-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the Kentstown Road, Navan. Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to the scene. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. His condition is understood to be serious. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The scene of the collision is preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local traffic diversions are in place.
