Illegal Dumping

Illegal dumping in Cavan town

A decaying fish head was amongst the rotting waste dumped in a Cavan publican's yard by flytippers today.

Episodes of illegal dumping around the county continue with increasing regularity and today The Anglo-Celt's photographer was out and about in Cavan Town when he captured waste dumped in a yard at the Kesh Bar.

Francie Galligan at the Kesh Bar pointed out that the most “sickening aspect” of this crime is that approximately 80-90% of the waste dumped can be recycled.

The sight of the fish head in a state of decay and likely to attract blue bottles and other vermin is of grave concern.
