Meeting on Ballyjamesduff CCTV

A meeting on the future provision of CCTV in Ballyjamesduff will take place tonight as part of a funding application. Ballyjamesduff Community Council will host a public meeting on Tuesday August 1 at 9pm in St Josephs Hall.

He said that public input is a very important part of the application: “This is a government led scheme. By giving people the chance to have they say we can ensure that if we are successful that resources can target where they are most needed.â€

The Fine Gael representative says that CCTV can enhance security for all: “A few year ago we had little difficulty with anti-social behaviour. CCTV can provide a valuable resource for Garda in addressing any such problems. The Gardai are fully behind us on this . The images from the CCTV will be relayed back to the Garda station. It gives a little bit extra security to the people of Ballyjamesduff.â€
