Are you Gallant enough?

The 14th annual Gallant Challenge, in which you can run, jog or walk will take place on Saturday, October 28. The event this year will start and finish at MacSeain’s Bar and Lounge and will feature two distances – 5km or 10km – the choice is yours.
The main sponsors are MacManus Pharmacy, Cavan; Helena and Sean O’Neill, O’Neill’s Pub and Shop in Redhills and Garry Smith, Smith’s Catering in Ballyconnell. All the proceeds from the event will go to St Christopher’s Hospice in Cavan. Sponsorship cards are already in circulation for the event and the card includes a message from the Chairman of St Christopher’s Hospice, Jim Lalor.
He says “now in its 14th year, the annual ‘Gallant Challenge’ has become a cornerstone of financial support  for St Christopher’s. Ciaran Weir and his team have dedicated a full 13 years of time and effort to organising this vital lifeline of support. To date their work has contributed in excess of €367,000 to St Christopher’s and we thank Ciaran and his team for this remarkable level of continued support of others”.
Ciaran Weir told The Anglo-Celt that he would like to thank William Hughes for all his great help over the years.
