Hunt on for €250k Lotto Plus winner

Speculation is rife in the region after one lucky person exited the Hallowe'en period a quarter of a million euro richer following last week's Lotto Plus 2 draw win.

The winning ticket of last Wednesday night’s (October 25) Lotto Plus 2 draw was sold in SuperValu on Fermanagh Street in Clones.

The numbers selected for that draw were 3. 5, 7, 11, 22, 32 and the bonus was 36.

It came in the same draw as one lucky punter lifted €7.5 million in the main draw, with the winning ticket being sold at an Eason in Thurlus, Co Tipperary.

The winning numbers were 8, 10, 11, 25, 28, 32, and the bonus number was 35.

The Clones win however continues a lucky streak for the region, with several big wins in recent times.

In September Co. Monaghan man, Declan Ward won €170,000, a sweetener after he had just gotten engaged to his girlfriend of 13 years.

Meanwhile, it was a bumper August Bank Holiday weekend when one lucky Monaghan Lotto player celebrated after winning a €250,000 Lotto Plus prize.

In the same month massive €6.4 million Lotto jackpot winning ticket was sold at Argue’s Londis Store in Cootehill, Co Cavan, while in June a Cavan man has finally came forward to claim his winning EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 – two months after the draw had taken place.
