Gardaí investigating arson attack

Gardaí in Cavan are investigating an arson attack in the early hours of Saturday morning when a parked car was set on fire.
An appeal has been issued for information in relation to the incident, which occurred at St Clare’s carpark on December 2 last.
Information is being sought regarding any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in the area between the hours of 4.30-5am.
The fire, which was close to the occupied apartment building itself, caused significant damage to adjacent fencing.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that the investigation into the matter is “ongoing”.
“We can confirm a vehicle was set on fire on December 2 at Clare’s Court, Cavan Town. Enquires and investigations are ongoing.”
