High winds expected to hit on Tuesday

 

The forecaster says Southwest winds are expected to reach mean speeds of between 55 and 65 km/hr, gusting to 110 km/hr at times on Tuesday night.

The warning is valid from 8pm on Tuesday night until 6am the following morning.

The strong winds of storm Eleanor earlier this month resulted in fallen trees and debris on the roads, and once again motorists are being warned to be vigilant for obstacles on the road, to reduce speed and never approach fallen power lines.
