Parts of Kingscourt remain without water

A broken pump which extended the water outage in Kingscourt has been repaired, but some households continue to be without water, almost a week after problems emerged.
Irish Water staff completed repairs to a pump which fills the area's reservoir at around noon on Sunday. However it is taking time for the reservoir's level to rise to normal levels, and as a result, some areas, such as Bailieborough Road, remain without water supply.
In order to allow the reservoir to return to adequate levels water supply in Kingscourt will be turned off from midnight tonight until 6.30pm.
The initial water outage in Kingscourt was caused by a burst mains on the on the Carrickmacross Road, and it was repaired on Thursday. It was then that the problem with the reservoir pump emerged.
Irish Water operate a 24-hour hotline to report water outages or other faults: 1850 278 278.
