WATCH: Celt Debates - Decision time on the eighth

With just days to go before the referendum on whether to repeal the 8th amendment, The Anglo-Celt held a debate to tease out the key talking points. The Cavan Crystal Hotel was the venue for the event, which presented a well informed panel of speakers respectfully fighting their sides of the debate. 

The Anglo-Celt editor Linda O'Reilly chaired Friday's debate, recorded in front of a live audience. On the 'Yes' side were Aisling Mulligan, barrister from Cootehill from 'Lawyers for Choice' and Daniel Downey, a Sinn Féin councillor from Cavan. Arguing the 'No' side were Dr Fiona O'Hanlon from Cootehill and Linda Farrelly, a mother from the Cavan Pro Life Group.
