A day of great joy in Corlough

"It was a day of great joy and pride in Corlough," principal Breda Maguire said following the official opening of St Patrick's NS's new building recently. There was great excitement in west Cavan earlier this month when the new school was officially opened by Bishop Leo O'Reilly, bringing to an end many years of hard work on this state-of-the-art primary school. The school, a beautiful, spacious and bright building is located on an elevated site opposite the Parish Church with panoramic views of the Cuilcagh Mountains and surrounding countryside. It is quite a contrast to the well-loved Tullyveela NS, which it has replaced, and colourful classrooms are well laid out with the most up-to-date teaching facilities.
