Seen above are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brown, Butlersbridge, County Cavan, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on 29th January, last. They were married in the old Cathedral, Cavan, in 1919, by the late Rev. John O'Reilly. They have six sons, one daughter and 14 grandchildren. Mr. Brown has the unique distinction of winning two senior club county championship medals on successive Sundays. In 1924 he won the Cavan Co. Championship with Cavan Slashers and the Monaghan Co. Championship with Castleblaney Faughs. He also won a Cavan senior medal in 1925 and conuty league medals in 1924 and '25, February 1969, issue 6400, picture unused
